Our recent Scarborough bathroom renovation showcased Creative Tiling's expertise in tackling complex technical challenges. The homeowners wanted to modernize their bathroom with elegant 1200×600mm large format tiles while eliminating an inconvenient step between their bathroom and bedroom carpet. The project required complete removal of existing tiles and cement bedding, followed by precision concrete grinding to lower the bathroom floor level. Approximately 25mm of concrete was carefully removed in the shower recess to allow for proper drainage falls while maintaining a level transition with the rest of the bathroom. The results exceeded expectations—sleek large format tiles now flow seamlessly from floor to walls, creating a contemporary space with enhanced visual spaciousness. Most importantly, the finished floor tiles sit perfectly flush with the adjacent bedroom carpet, eliminating the troublesome step and creating the smooth, hazard-free transition the Scarborough homeowners desired.
