This bathroom was in dire need of repair due to years of water leakage. The damage was extensive, with most of the studs rotten, along with door jambs and architraves that were beyond saving. Our Approach

1. Removal and Replacement: We began by carefully removing the damaged studs, door jambs, and architraves. Each piece was meticulously taken out to prepare for the next stage of the renovation.
2. Re-Sheeting and Waterproofing: With the old materials removed, we re-sheeted the walls to create a solid foundation for the new tiles. We then applied Laticrete Hydroban, a top-tier waterproofing product, to both the walls and floor. This step ensures long-lasting protection against future water damage.
3. Tiling with Style and Practicality: The owners chose beautiful 500×500 dark grey tiles for the floor, complemented by a smart 100mm upturn onto the wall. This upturn not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also adds a practical element, preventing water from seeping into the wall-floor junction. The rest of the walls were tiled with the same size tiles in a light grey/cream color, creating a striking yet harmonious contrast.

The Outcome

Despite the initial challenges, the entire renovation was completed in just seven days. The result is a stunning, modern bathroom that combines functionality with style. The owners were thrilled with the transformation, and we were delighted to deliver a project that exceeded their expectations.
